This Vanilla Bean Scone recipe calls for real vanilla beans.  Using them makes the vanilla flavor so rich and flavorful.  Once you’ve scraped the pods, keep them and place them in a jar filled with regular sugar.  After a few days, you’ll have vanilla flavored sugar, which you can use in your coffee or in other baked goods.  Trust us, it’s delicious!
